Regards, Let me tell you about, what is muscular dystrophy. Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause ongoing weakness and loss of tissue mass. In MS abnormal genes (transformation) inhibits production of proteins needed to form healthy muscle. There are many kinds of muscular dystrophy present. Their indications most commonly begin in childhood, mostly in boys. Other types don’t appear until adulthood.

What is muscular dystrophy symptoms?

  1. They Continuously fall
  2. They face Difficulty getting up from a lying or sitting position
  3. They have Problem running and jumping
  4. They have Waddling gait
  5. They Walk on the toes
  6. Have Large calf muscles
  7. They feel Muscle pain and stiffness • Have Learning disabilities • Their growth is delayed.

Muscular dystrophy causes:

  1. Certain genes are associated making proteins that protect muscle fibers.
  2. Muscular dystrophy take place when one of these genes is defective.
  3. This disease is caused by a genetic mutation particular to that type of the disease. Most of these mutations are inherited.

What are the muscular dystrophy complications?

  1. They have Trouble walking.
  2. A number of people with muscular dystrophy eventually need to use a wheelchair.
  3. They have Trouble using arms.
  4. Performing daily activities can become more difficult if the muscles of the arms and shoulders are affected.
  5. Shortening of muscles or tendons around joints (contractures). Contractures can further limit movement.

Complications:

  1. They have Breathing problems.
  2. On-going weakness can affect the muscles associated with breathing.
  3. A person with muscular dystrophy might eventually need to use a breathing assistance device (ventilator), initially at night but possibly also during the day.
  4. They have Curved spine (scoliosis). Weaker muscles might be unable to hold the spine straight.
  5. They may have Heart problems. Muscular dystrophy can decrease efficiency of the heart muscle.
  6. They have Swallowing problems.
  7. If the muscles involved with swallowing are affected, nutritional problems and aspiration pneumonia can develop. Feeding tubes might be an option.

What are the muscular dystrophy Types?

  1. Becker’s:-  Age at beginning of adolescence to early adulthood.
  2. Congenital:-  Age at onset Nataly (birth).
  3. Duchene:-  At the onset of 2 to 6 years of age.
  4. Distal:-  At the onset of 40 to 60 years of age.
